The key to successful treatment with dental implants is a good foundation. In the mouth, a good foundation is having good bone and lots of it. Teeth can be removed without damaging the surrounding bone when special techniques and instruments are used. Often, this does take longer, but by preserving the bone, we increase the amount of bone found after the area has healed and, therefore, increase the support for the implant.
