How Dental Implants Work

We typically perform the dental implant placement procedure under local or IV sedation. Dr. Woodyard offers sedation dentistry options to ensure patients undergoing surgery are extremely relaxed and comfortable. After we fuse the base of the implant into the jaw bone and it has integrated fully into the mouth, we will need to cap the implant with a crown.

Bone Morphogenetic Protein (BMP) and Dental Lasers for Dental Implants

Dr. Woodyard is among the few periodontists in the area to use Bone Morphogenetic Protein (BMP) as part of dental surgery. BMP can accelerate tissue healing and offers numerous benefits for patients undergoing dental procedures. He also uses laser therapy to shape the tissue around the implants for better results. Whether you are getting a single dental implant or several dental implants for missing teeth, you can count on us for innovative solutions that achieve lasting results.
